Homicide – Arrest: C20-59464
As previously released:
On March 16, 2020, at approximately 3:00 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded a report of a male shot at a multi-unit residence in the 500 block of College Avenue.
Responding officers located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased victim has been identified as: Vincent Scott Ross, a 24-year-old male of Winnipeg.
Members of the Homicide Unit continued with the investigation and obtained a Canada-wide warrant for the arrest of Christian James Bruce, a 28-year-old male of Winnipeg, for Second Degree Murder.
Update:
During the evening of March 22, 2020, Bruce was located and arrested at a residence in the St. Johns neighbourhood.
Investigators believe that Bruce and the victim had been at the multi-unit residence on College Avenue when a dispute occurred and the victim was shot.
Bruce has been detained in custody.
Missing Person – Michelle Grozelle R20-15923 - LOCATED
The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing 17-year-old female, Michelle Grozelle. Grozelle was last seen in the Point Douglas area of Winnipeg during the evening of March 16, 2020.
Grozelle is described as Indigenous, 5’6”, thin build, brownish-red long hair past her shoulders. Grozelle was last seen wearing a black & white sweater, blue jeans with a pink tank top.
The Winnipeg Police Service is concerned about Grozelle's well-being and is asking anyone with any information regarding her whereabouts to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.
