Carjacking – Arrest: C20-79393

On April 12, 2020, at 6:10 p.m. Winnipeg Police received a report of a carjacking that had just occurred at a gas station in the 2000 block of Corydon Avenue. The vehicle was parked, and the driver was out of the vehicle when she was confronted by a female brandishing a knife. The driver was unharmed, and the suspect fled in the vehicle.

Officers from the Tactical Support Team observed the vehicle, which fled at a high rate of speed. The suspect crashed the vehicle in the area of River Avenue and Mayfair Avenue and fled on foot, however, she was arrested after a short foot chase.

Jennifer Ashley CLARKE, 31, has been charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Wear Disguise with Intent to Commit Offence
  • Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer
  • Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
  • Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order
  • Drive While Suspended

She was detained in custody.
