As previously released:
On May 23, 2019, at approximately 3:20 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the intersection of Lagimodière Boulevard and Sage Creek Boulevard for a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, a male in his 20’s, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital in critical condition where he remains at this time. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and met with officers.
It is believed that both the motorcycle and the vehicle had been southbound on Lagimodière Boulevard when the collision occurred.
Members of the Traffic Division continued with the investigation.
It was determined the vehicle had made an illegal U-turn at the intersection of Lagimodière Boulevard and Sage Creek Boulevard, which resulted in the vehicle entering a southbound lane directly in front of the motorcycle and causing the collision.
A 39-year-old female of Winnipeg has been arrested and faces charges of:
- Disobey traffic control device - Cause Life-Threatening Injury (Highway Traffic Act)
- Drive Carelessly - Cause Life-Threatening Injury (Highway Traffic Act)
She was released on an Appearance Notice.
