On September 29, 2020, at approximately 12:45 p.m, Winnipeg Police responded to the 700 block of William Avenue for a report of an assault.
Responding Officers located the female victim who advised that while leaving her workplace, she was accosted by an unknown intoxicated female loitering in the area. The suspect struck the victim in the face causing injuries, not requiring medical attention. The victim fled the area seeking help from a nearby security guard, and Police were contacted.
Winnipeg Police located and arrested a 47-year-old female of Winnipeg. She faces charges of;
- Utter Threats
She was released by way of Appearance Notice.
On September 24, 2020, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Winnipeg Police General Patrol officers responded to a report of a Dispute at a residence located in the 800 block of Polson Avenue. The dispute concerned adult residents of the single-family home. Responding officers spoke with a 27-year-old male who advised that he had numerous firearms in the basement.
With the assistance of the Winnipeg Police Bomb Unit and the Clandestine Lab Team, investigators located 17 firearms, some loaded, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. In addition, officers found a pipe-bomb, a quantity of methamphetamine, and equipment and chemicals to produce methamphetamine.
Hayden Quinn PLOSZAY, 27, has been charged with:
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Unlawful Possession of Explosives
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Produce a Scheduled Substance (Methamphetamine)
He was detained in custody.
