Homicide – Investigation: C20-280857

On November 27, 2020, at 4:26 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence in the 200 block of College Avenue for a report of an individual that had been found with serious injuries.

Upon arrival, officers located a deceased adult male inside the house. The death is being treated as a homicide.

Aggravated Assault – Investigation: C20-280385

On November 26, 2020, at 2:21 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 400 block of Sherbrook Street for a report of a male that had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers located an injured 27-year-old male on the street. He was subsequently transported to hospital in critical condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.

Assault with a Weapon – Investigation: C20-280614

On November 26, 2020, at 6:58 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to an apartment building in the 300 block of Assiniboine Avenue for a report of a female that had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers located an injured 27-year-old female inside the building. She was subsequently transported to hospital in unstable condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.

Assault with a Weapon – Arrest: C20-280763

On November 26, 2020, at 11:10 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a hotel in the 600 block of Main Street for a report of a male that had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers located an injured 48-year-old male inside a suite. A female suspect was taken into custody. The male was subsequently transported to hospital in unstable condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation. It is believed that the two were known to each other and that a verbal argument escalated to the stabbing.

Cindy Jean Anderson, a 46-year-old female of Winnipeg, has been charged:

- Assault with a Weapon

She has been detained in custody.

Serious Motor Vehicle Collision – Investigation: C20-281256

On November 27, 2020, at approximately 1:20 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of Kenaston Boulevard and Columbia Drive/Lindenwood Drive East for the report of a multi-vehicle collision.

A preliminary investigation indicates seven vehicles have been involved in the collision and five people have been transported to hospital. One person has been transported in critical condition, two in unstable condition and two in stable condition.

Officers remain at the scene. It is anticipated that the intersection will remain closed into the evening. Traffic delays are expected, and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
