On June 1, 2021, at approximately 12:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence in the Braeside/Concordia neighbourhood for the report of an active clandestine laboratory at this location.
Police located a small active methamphetamine lab which was set up within an outbuilding on this property.
Solomon GARD, 18, of Winnipeg, who was at the residence, was arrested and charged with Produce a Scheduled Substance. He was subsequently detained in custody.
Due to the potentially volatile and dangerous nature of a clandestine lab, the specialized Clandestine Lab Unit, with the assistance of the Bomb Unit, spent several hours dismantling it to ensure the safety of all neighbouring residents.
On June 1, 2021, the Crown Attorney authorized charges against the youth driver of the ATV. They have been charged with one count of Dangerous Driving of a Conveyance Causing Death (CCC). The accused was released on an Undertaking.

On August 1, 2020, at approximately 6:40 p.m., emergency services personnel responded to an incident at St. Mary’s Road and the Floodway. Information provided was that a 4-seat all-terrain vehicle had rolled over at the south Floodway.
Three male youths were on the vehicle when it rolled and were transported to hospital. One victim succumbed to his injuries. Two other victims were treated and released.
Members of the Winnipeg Police Service Traffic Division continue to investigate this incident.
