On June 21, 2021, a 19-year-old female of Winnipeg, was charged with Manslaughter in relation to the death of a 12-year-old male, which occurred on June 18, 2021.
As previously released:
On June 18, 2021, at 7:19 p.m., General Patrol officers, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team and K9 Unit, responded to the 200 block of Burrows Avenue for a report of a male that had been stabbed.
Upon arrival, officers located a seriously injured youth male on the roadway and were assisted by an off-duty nurse who had been in the area. The male was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. He has since been identified as a 12-year-old male of Winnipeg.
Members of the Homicide Unit are continuing with the investigation. At this time, it is believed that two groups were involved in an altercation, and the youth was stabbed.
