The Winnipeg Police Service will once again be holding its Unclaimed Goods Auction. The online auction will run from August 16, 2021, to August 23, 2021, through Associated Auto Auction.

Homicide – Arrest: C21-178647

Throughout the evening of July 31, 2021, several adults were socializing together at a shared residence in the 400 block of Atlantic Avenue. Two of the residents became involved in a heated argument which escalated into a physical altercation. A 41-year-old male was assaulted and the suspect male fled the residence. Another resident later discovered the unresponsive victim and contacted 911.

On August 1, at approximately 3:30 a.m., emergency services located a deceased male who was transported to hospital, and police were notified.

The deceased was identified as William Randle SHARPE, 41, of Winnipeg. A subsequent medical examination determined his death to be a homicide.

On August 4, 2021, Donnie LAVALLEE, 23, of Winnipeg was charged with Manslaughter.
