Commercial Robbery - Investigation: C21-226551

On September 27, 2021, at approximately 9:15 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service’s Central District Patrol Officers, with the assistance of the K9 Unit, responded to the report of a commercial robbery with a gun.

Police attended to a restaurant in the 600 block of Sargent Avenue. Employees indicated that a male with a gun protruding from his waistband and a female suspect had entered the restaurant. They demanded cash and fled on foot. No suspects have been arrested.

Stabbing - Investigation: C21-226721

On September 28, 2021, at approximately 4:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service’s North District Patrol Officers responded to the report of a male who had been stabbed in the 300 block of Dufferin Avenue.

Police located a male in his thirties who had been stabbed. He was transported to hospital in critical condition and subsequently upgraded to stable condition.

Investigators believe the victim was attacked during an altercation outside a convenience store. A bystander intervened, and the suspects subsequently fled on foot. No suspects have been arrested.

Weapons – Arrests: C21-226720

On September 28, 2021, at approximately 3:45 a.m., Winnipeg Police Service’s East District Patrol Officers responded to the report of two males rummaging through vehicles in the 400 block of Harbison Avenue West. 
Officers met with a resident who indicated that he had confronted two suspects going through his vehicle and possessed what he believed to be a firearm. They subsequently fled on foot.

Police located two individuals nearby, who were taken into custody. They had a weapon in their possession; however, no firearm was recovered.

Two 18-year-old males of Winnipeg are facing charges of Possession of a Weapon.
One was detained in custody, while the other was released on an Undertaking (as mandated by the Criminal Code).
