Armed Robbery – Arrests: C21-277074

On 2021-11-27, at approximately 1:00 a.m., two males went to a convenience store in the 3000 block of Ness Avenue. One entered the store while the second waited outside. The first suspect approached the clerk, flashed the handle of a gun and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect fled after obtaining a small amount of cash and cigarettes.
 
West District General Patrol officers responded and located to suspects a short distance away. The pistol was determined to be a BB-gun.
 
A 14-year-old and 15-year-old were arrested and face charges of Armed Robbery Using a Firearm.

Assault – Investigation: C21-277400

On November 27, 2021, at approximately 11:45 a.m., Winnipeg Police officers responded to a caller, saying he had been stabbed. Officers located the victim at Main Street and Logan Avenue, suffering from a severe upper body wound and began emergency medical care. The victim, a male in his 50's, was transported to hospital in critical condition, where he remains.

Robbery – Investigation: C21-277638

On November 27, 2021, Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a robbery at a store in the 600 block of Empress Street. Security personnel confronted an adult male outside the store, and a second male exited a waiting vehicle brandishing a handgun and threatened the employee. Both suspects fled in the vehicle, and there were no injuries.

Weapons/Assault Peace Officer – Arrests: C21-277470

On November 27, 2021, at approximately 1:40 p.m., a Winnipeg Police Traffic Unit observed a vehicle that had been reported stolen. The lone officer pulled the car over in the 900 block of Winnipeg Avenue.
 
The officer was speaking to the driver when she observed him reaching for the controls. The driver managed to put the vehicle in gear and start to flee, however, the officer could not disengage from the car door. She was dragged approximately two metres before falling to the roadway. The officer was later treated in hospital and released. Additional police units responded and were able to stop the fleeing vehicle near Arlington Street and Logan Avenue.
 
The male driver and a female passenger were taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. Officers located a sawed-off rifle in the car.
 
Allan Michael James WOOD, 30, has been charged 38 offences, including:
- Multiple firearms offences
- Assault Peace Officer
- Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer
- Multiple breaches of court orders
 
He was detained in custody.
 
Alice Beverly CAMERON, 47, was charged with eight separate offences. She was detained in custody.
