Snow routes
The Province of Manitoba is responsible for the care and maintenance of the Perimeter Highway surrounding the City of Winnipeg.

The annual snow route parking ban is effect from December 1 to March 1 every year, vehicles may not park on designated snow routes between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. (or from midnight to 7 a.m. if an extended snow route parking ban is declared).
Snow routes are clearly marked with signs like this:
Vehicles parked in violation of the annual snow route parking ban will receive a $100 ticket ($75 if paid early), and may be towed to the towing company’s compound.
