City of Winnipeg Launching Budget Consultation Process
May 22, 2013 - The City of Winnipeg is launching a new budget consultation process to engage the citizens of Winnipeg in helping to shape the direction of the City's budget. Deputy Mayor and Chair of Standing Policy Committee on Finance Russ Wyatt first announced these public consultations in the 2013 budget process.
Families in West Kildonan to enjoy new spray pad next summer
May 22, 2013 - Residents in West Kildonan will have plenty of summer fun to enjoy at a new spray pad thanks to a $400,000 joint investment through Phase Two of the Manitoba/Winnipeg Building Communities Initiative (BCI) II partnership, announced Conservation and Water Stewardship Minister Gord Mackintosh, on behalf of Local Government Minister Ron Lemieux; and Councillor Ross Eadie (Mynarski), on behalf of Mayor Sam Katz.
Province, City providing grant to renovate community kitchen to support St. Vital youth and seniors
May 21, 2013 - The Province and the City are investing in upgrades to the Teen Stop Community Kitchen Project which will include renovations such as a roof replacement and upgrades to a kitchen which provides healthy meals for young people and a gathering place for seniors in St. Vital.
