Keep cool and have fun at City of Winnipeg outdoor aquatics facilities this summer

Winnipeg, MB - Find fun in the sun this summer at Winnipeg's spray pads, outdoor pools and wading pools.

“I’m very excited that more Winnipeg spray pads will be operational this weekend,” said Mayor Brian Bowman. “It’s a great way to spend a hot summer day with the kids, and we are fortunate to have so many terrific options for pools and spray pads in our city. I hope Winnipeggers will take advantage of our great facilities over the coming summer months.”

Spray Pads

The City’s unsupervised spray pads are a great way to spend a hot summer day. Some city spray pads opened on May 21 for the Victoria Day long weekend; tomorrow, all other spray pads will open for the season as well. Spray pads will operate until Monday, September 5 at the following locations:

  • Park City West Community Centre (opens July 1)

Please note that the Transcona Kinsmen Centennial Spray Pad will be closed this season for renovations.

Kildonan Park Outdoor Pool opens Friday, June 17 for the Summer 2016 season. The following City of Winnipeg outdoor pools are scheduled to open Thursday, June 30.

All non-heated outdoor pools are scheduled to open Thursday, June 30.
Back again for 2016, entry to non-heated outdoor pools will be free all summer long. Free admission is available at the following outdoor pools (public admission entry requirements and capacity restrictions apply):

Wading Pools

16 of the City’s wading pools will open on Friday, July 1 for the season - just in time to celebrate Canada Day. The remaining locations will open Saturday, July 2, according to their operating schedules. Operating hours vary by wading pool; however, most are open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
