Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Greenwood Place

Winnipeg, MB – At 11:12 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey duplex in the 400 block of Greenwood Place.
When crews arrived on-scene, they encountered smoke coming from the building. They launched an offensive attack and the fire was declared under control at 11:56 a.m.
A search of the building was completed and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
Damage was contained to the suite of origin. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.

Winnipeg, MB – At 2:38 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in an unoccupied, two-storey house in the 500 block of Langside Street.
When crews arrived on-scene, they encountered smoke coming from the house. They launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 3:34 p.m. A fire watch was established to help prevent re-ignition.
A search of the building was completed and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
The house sustained significant fire, water and smoke damage. There was no damage to neighbouring properties. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
