Advance voting for 2018 City of Winnipeg Municipal and School Boards Election begins today

Winnipeg, MB – Advance voting for the 2018 City of Winnipeg Municipal and School Boards Election officially begins today. Eligible voters will have the opportunity to cast their ballot for the offices of Mayor, Councillor and School Trustee, and answer the following question: “Do you support the opening of Portage and Main to pedestrian crossings?”

From October 1 – 19, eligible voters, no matter where they live in the City, can cast their ballots ahead of Election Day at any one of the following locations:

Kildonan Place Shopping Centre (Centre Court) – 1555 Regent Avenue West
Polo Park Shopping Centre (Community Booth) – 1485 Portage Avenue

October 9 & 10
University of Manitoba (Sundown Room) – 65 Chancellor’s Circle

October 10 & 11
Red River College (Notre Dame Campus - LL Building C) – 2055 Notre Dame Avenue

October 11
Vision Impaired Resource Network (VIRN) Trade Show – 99 Cornish Avenue

Identification Requirements

All voters are reminded that they are required to bring valid identification that shows their name and current address - such as a driver’s license - when they come to vote. In the absence of a driver's license or enhanced identification card, any two documents that together show the person's name and current address will also be accepted.
