Final week of advance voting for 2018 City of Winnipeg Municipal and School Boards Election

Released: October 15, 2018 at 8:30 a.m.

Winnipeg, MB – Eligible voters are being reminded that this is the last week to cast their ballot in advance of Election Day for the 2018 City of Winnipeg Municipal and School Boards Election.

Advance voting for all eligible voters began on Monday, October 1 and ends this Friday, October 19.

From October 15-19, eligible voters are encouraged to take advantage of the advance voting opportunity at City Hall (2nd floor, 510 Main Street). Polls are open Monday-Friday with varying hours to accommodate voters’ schedules.

From October 16-18 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., eligible voters can vote early at any of the Community Advance voting locations listed on the 2018 Election website. A Community Advance location has been established in each of the 15 Council Wards.

All voters are reminded that they are required to bring valid identification that shows their name and current home address - such as a driver’s license - when they come to vote. In the absence of a driver's license or enhanced identification card, any two documents that together show the person's name and current home address will also be accepted.
