Aggravated Assault Public’s Assistance Requested: C21-151789

On June 30, 2021, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Winnipeg Police responded to the area of Mountain Avenue and McGregor Street for a report of a male being seriously assaulted.  The victim, a male in his 70’s, was transported to hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
 
Investigators from the Major Crimes Unit have obtained images of a male related to the incident and are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating him.

Firearms & Drugs – Arrests: C21-157137

On July 8, 2021, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 600 block of Dufferin Avenue. The arrival of officers precipitated a stand-off with the occupants of the house that lasted approximately three hours but ended without incident.

The search of the residence located:
- A conducted energy weapon
- Body armour
- Approximately $8,000 in cash
- Fentanyl patches
- Crack cocaine
- Drug packaging material
- A loaded Ruger revolver
- A loaded .40 cal pistol (serial number removed)
- A loaded 9 mm pistol (serial number removed)

Six occupants of the house were arrested:
- Jeremy Charles NEPINAK, 36, faces 21 charges related to firearms and drugs and court breaches. He was detained in custody.
- Abraham Marcel LAGIMODIERE, 34, faces 15 weapons-related charges. He was detained in custody.
- Draden Gabriel LOFTI, 20, faces 14 charges related to firearms and drugs. He was detained in custody.
- Adonay BERHE, 19, faces 13 charges related to firearms and drugs. He was detained in custody.
- A 36-year-old female faces 19 firearms and drug-related charges. She was released on an appearance notice.
- a 17-year-old female faces 13 firearms and drug-related charges. She was released on an appearance notice.
