Pan Am Pool to partially reopen on October 5, 2018

Winnipeg, MB – Certain sections of the Pan Am Pool will safely reopen to the public beginning Friday, October 5, 2018 while the facility's capital construction project continues.

The following areas of the facility will be open starting on October 5:

  • Training tank
  • Kiddie pool
  • Public change facilities
  • Upper weight room
  • Portions of the walking track
  • Upper training tank observation section
  • Front lobby and adjacent auxiliary rooms

Swim lessons, lap swim, free swim, Aquafit and fitness drop-in sessions will resume. Additional swimming lesson classes will also be offered on Saturdays. For complete facility schedule information, please visit Pan Am Pool Facility Schedules.

Construction work continues to replace the facility’s 51-year-old ceiling, lighting and public address system. Replacing these important interior components will ensure the Pan Am Pool remains a safe and enjoyable facility for many years to come.

The main tank ceiling replacement project commenced on July 30 and will continue until the end of the year. The main tank and portions of the walking track will remain closed until further notice.
