On March 1, 2022, at approximately 11:15 p.m., General Patrol officers, with the assistance of the K9 Unit, responded to the 300 block of St. Anne’s Road for a robbery with a firearm.

A mother and her three children (aged 12-17) were walking along St. Anne’s Road near Bonita Avenue when they passed two unknown males walking on the same sidewalk. One of the teens accidentally bumped into one of the males as they passed each other, and the teen was subsequently pushed to the ground. The other suspect pulled out a firearm, pointed it at the family demanding their property and threatened to shoot them. The suspects ran from the area, and the family contacted police. The victims were not physically injured.

Officers searched the area and quickly located the two suspects in the 500 block of St. Anne’s Road.

All property was recovered, along with a sawed-off .22 calibre firearm.

Two 15-year-old youth males
were charged with 16 robbery and firearm-related offences. Both were detained in custody.
