Child Abduction/Sexual Assault – Arrest: C22-73353

On April 9, 2022, in the early evening, General Patrol officers responded to the report of an abduction and sexual assault of a twelve-year-old male. The initial report indicated a youth was waiting at a bus stop at Main Street by the Forks when an unknown adult male offered him candy. When the youth refused, the stranger took hold of his arm and forcefully walked him to a residence in the 400 block of Stradbrook Avenue.

While inside, the survivor (the victim) was given alcohol to drink, verbally threatened and sexually assaulted. He managed to escape when the suspect fell asleep. Police were contacted, and the survivor was subsequently transported to hospital in stable condition.

The Child Abuse Unit continued the investigation and arrested the suspect at the same residence.

Paramvir Singh, SAINI, 44, was charged with the following offences:

- Sexual Assault
- Sexual Interference
- Invitation to Sexual Touching
- Kidnapping
- Mischief Under $5,000
- Uttering Threats
- Liquor Gaming Control Act- Liquor to a Minor

The accused was detained in custody.
