Firearms Seizure – Arrest: C22-82087

On April 21, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Central Community Support Unit (CSU) officers recognized a known male with warrants sitting in a taxi travelling on St. Mary’s Road and Marion Street.

CSU officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop at Main Street and Broadway Avenue and arrested the male suspect without incident.

As a result of the traffic stop and subsequent arrest, officers seized the following:

  • Sawed-off twelve-gauge shotgun
  • Shotgun shells

Jamie BAKER, 22, of Winnipeg, is charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is unauthorized
  • Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2
  • Fail to Comply with Probation
  • Warrant (Fail to Comply with Probation Order)
  • Warrant (Fail to Comply with Release Order)
