Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision – Arrest: C24-32536

As previously released

On February 11, 2024, at approximately 10:15 p.m., General Patrol members from the East District and investigators from the Traffic Division responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision at Lagimodiere Boulevard and Cottonwood Road.

One of the drivers, a male in his 40s was transported to hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries. Family notifications have been made.

The other vehicle driver in his 20s was transported to hospital in stable condition and treated for minor injuries and met with police.

Update:

The investigation was forwarded to Crown Prosecutions for review.  

On February 28, 2025 at approximately, a 29-year-old male of Winnipeg was arrested and is facing charges for Drive Carelessly - Cause Death and Drive Suspended/Disqualified.

He was released on an Appearance Notice.
