Single admission: $3.00
One month pass: $31.41

Customers and households who meet the requirements for the Recreation Fee Assistance Program are eligible for free, rechargeable 10-visit passes.

Facility rules

Weight room general rules

  • Must be over 16 years of age or 12 - 15 years with adult supervision
  • Proper training attire (shirts, shorts/sweats, closed-toed and non-skid shoes) is required. Outdoor footwear is not permitted
  • Gym bags, jackets, and change of clothing are not permitted in the workout area. Use lockers for coats and bags

Safety

  • Report any injuries or issues with facility/equipment to front desk staff immediately
  • Ensure the pins and collars are secure before using any equipment
  • Do not drop, slam, or throw weights. For your safety, we encourage the use of spotters
  • No unauthorized personal weight room equipment allowed
  • Exercises and/or equipment should not be modified or used in any unintended manner
  • All equipment must be returned to its proper place
  • Refrain from using cell phones while utilizing weight room equipment

Etiquette

  • Respect the equipment and your fellow patron
  • Re-sealable water bottles only allowed in the weight room. No other foods or beverages are permitted
  • Be mindful of the amount of time spent at each station or using equipment and allow others to work in as requested
  • Wipe down equipment after each use
  • Do not spit in water fountain or sinks
  • Keep feet off of the walls
  • No horseplay or offensive language
  • Out of consideration of others who may have allergies, refrain from wearing colognes or perfumes
  • Only personal sound systems with headsets allowed. No portable stereo systems
  • People with open sores or infectious diseases are not allowed in the weight room
  • No chalking allowed, use of gloves is recommended
  • Return equipment to its designated area after use
  • Personal training services are not permitted

Everyone has the right to a safe and respectful environment. Inappropriate or unlawful behaviour is not tolerated in City of Winnipeg facilities or programs.

Expectations

Every customer will:

  • Respect personal safety and boundaries
  • Maintain a respectful environment, free of:
    • Racism
    • Discrimination
    • Harassment
    • Disruptive conflict
    • Violence
  • Refrain from engaging in misconduct of a sexual, physical, or verbal nature
  • Immediately report any inappropriate or unlawful behavior to an employee on duty

Consequences

Customers will be asked to leave if:

  • They choose not to follow the code of conduct, or 
  • They do not change their behaviour when asked

Other consequences may include:

  • Suspension of service privileges
  • Banning from City of Winnipeg properties
  • Legal charges

Examples of inappropriate conduct

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Refusal to follow facility rules
  • Refusal to follow employee’s request to adhere to rules
  • Misuse of any facility space, including washrooms 
  • Intentional interference with:
    • Another customer’s use and enjoyment of the facility or program
    • The ability of employees to perform their duties
  • Any criminal activity
  • Inappropriate conduct involving children 

For privacy reasons, the City of Winnipeg does not:

  • Disclose personal information
  • Mediate between parties in cases of patron inappropriate behavior

The City of Winnipeg partners with the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (C3P). All disclosures, allegations or suspicions of sexual, unlawful, or inappropriate behavior by a patron in our recreation facilities are taken seriously and followed up on.

Staff have complete authority over the use of technological devices. 

The use of all technological devices is prohibited in:

  • Washrooms
  • Change/locker rooms
  • Showers

You must get permission from staff before using any device to take:

  • Pictures
  • Videos
  • Audio recordings

Staff have the authority to:

  • Request verification of the intent of anyone taking photos, videos, or audio recordings in the facility
  • Grant or deny permission if the technological device protocol is not being followed

Pictures may only be taken of children/patrons in your personal care. Every attempt should be made to limit or eliminate other patrons from being filmed in the background.
