Update:
After being transported to the hospital in critical condition, the victim, a male in his mid-thirties, succumbed to his injuries.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., roads were re-opened for traffic.

This morning, April 5, 2022, at approximately 6:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Lagimodiere Boulevard and Maginot Street.
An adult male was transported to hospital in critical condition. The driver has met with police and been identified.
The Traffic Division has taken over and will continue to investigate. Anyone with information can contact investigators at 204-986-7085.
The public is asked to choose an alternate route of travel as southbound road closures are expected to continue in this area.
