Robbery – Arrests: C25-60615

On March 22, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a strongarm robbery in the 500 block of Portage Avenue.

The victim, a 23-year-old female, was walking to work for a night shift, when a group of unknown teens began following her. When they caught up to her, she was thrown to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked on her head and upper body and they demanded her property. The assault was stopped when a bystander shouted and the group ran off. 

The incident was captured on video surveillance and General Patrol members located three suspects nearby. They were taken into custody and turned over to the Major Crimes Unit.  

The victim was in stable condition but required medical treatment for her injuries.

A 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old female are facing a charge of Robbery.They were detained in custody.

A 12-year-old female is facing a charge of Robbery and was released on an Undertaking.
