Our 2024 Statistical report is now out. While we encourage you to take a look to understand crime statistics in your city, we'd also like to take this time to remind you of a few other online tools to help you stay informed and connected to police activity in your area.

The 2024 Statistical Report

The 2024 Statistical Report offers a snapshot of the incidents and interactions reported to the Winnipeg Police Service over the past year. It provides valuable insight and informs police priorities and prevention efforts.

This past year, we have seen promising trends. Total crime volume decreased (-0.8%) for the second year in a row, with a sharper decline in total crime severity (-5.2%).

Crime and Calls-for-Service Maps

The Winnipeg Police Service offers two interactive self-serve maps that enable you to see up-to-date statistical data on crimes, as well as police activity, in your city, community and neighbourhood. These interactive maps let you select and filter crime and safety events by various categories and locations.

Online Reporting Tool

In 2024, more than 40,000 people submitted non-emergency police reports online. The process takes approximately 15 minutes and you will be guided through a series of steps to complete the report. All online police reports will typically be reviewed within 48 hours.
