Adult and teenager arrested for drug trafficking after traffic stop, nearly $100,000 in drug money seized: C25-134563

On June 15, 2025, at 11:14 p.m., officers from the Traffic Division stopped a vehicle in the 2200 block of McPhillips Street. The 21-year-old driver was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended licence.

During the traffic stop, officers discovered drug paraphernalia, cell phones, and close to $100,000 in Canadian currency. The driver and 17-year-old passenger were arrested.

Arvin Toni Pena UMALI (21 yrs) was charged with possessing proceeds obtained by crime over $5000. He remains in police custody.

A 17-year old boy also faces charges of possessing proceeds obtained by crime over $5000. He was released on an Appearance Notice.
