On June 18, 2025, at 11:51 p.m., a woman attended to a gas station in the 100 block of Salter Street and sprayed an employee with bear spray in an attempt to rob the store.
North District patrol officers searched the area, but the suspect had left before police arrived and could not be located. Despite suffering from the effects of bear spray, the victim was able to assist officers and provided an accurate description of the suspect.
While continuing to respond to other calls, officers remained on the lookout for the suspect. At around 2:20 a.m. North District officers located her in the 600 block of Selkirk Avenue, where she was taken into custody.
A 27-year-old woman is facing robbery charges. She remains in police custody awaiting disposition.
