Public assistance – police seeking information regarding a fatal motor vehicle collision near Abinojii Mikanah & St. Mary’s: C25-220430

On September 16, 2025, around 6:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a rollover motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian near Abinojii Mikanah and St. Mary’s Road.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was on scene with a seriously injured adult female.   She was transported to hospital in critical condition.

A vehicle was traveling eastbound when they veered onto the shoulder and struck the victim who was waiting at a bus stop. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained on scene.

On September 18, the 49-year-old victim succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

No charges have been laid at this time and the Traffic Division is continuing to investigate.
