Reminder: Residential street snow clearing underway

Residents encouraged to �Know Your Zone� and to move vehicles when their residential street is scheduled for plowing

Winnipeg, MB - The Residential Parking Ban began this morning at 7:00 a.m. Plowing is currently underway in snow zones A, F, I, M, P, Q, T and U. Snow clearing will take place on residential streets in snow zones B, G, J, L, N, R and V starting at 7:00 p.m. tonight.

Residents are urged to move their vehicles when their residential street is scheduled for plowing. This will help the snow clearing operation run smoothly and will prevent you from being ticketed and towed. Citizens are encouraged to visit knowyourzone.winnipeg.ca or call 311 to confirm their snow zone letter.

Avoid a ticket and tow
Vehicles parked in violation of the Residential Parking Ban will receive a $150 ticket ($75 if paid early), and may be towed to a nearby street that is not scheduled to be plowed, or has already been cleared. If you believe your vehicle may have been towed due to the Residential Parking Ban, please contact 311 for assistance in locating it.

Stay back, stay safe
Motorists are reminded to drive to road conditions and to use extreme caution when driving near any snow clearing equipment or sanding trucks.

The City offers free email and Twitter notifications which advise subscribers when a parking ban goes into effect.
