To ensure your permit application is processed, confirm your application package is complete before submitting. It should include required fees, plans and other supporting documents. Specific requirements are dependent on application type. Incomplete applications will result in delays.

How to apply

Permits Online

Register for an account at: winnipeg.ca/permitsonline

Permit applications can be submitted by email. Refer to application forms for details.

In-person (drop-off)

Digital submission requirements

Sufficient drawing information and documentation is required with each application. Refer to permit application forms for document requirements.

 

PDF format required

Documents must be submitted in PDF format. Some operating systems provide a 'print to PDF' option to convert a JPEG to PDF.

 

Permit review & issuance

After your permit application is reviewed, you will be contacted if more information is required.

A maximum file size of 50 MB can be submitted via Permits Online. If you are unable to submit documents using Permits Online, submit a PDF by email or a link to a Dropbox file to the reviewer who requested the information.

When your permit is issued, you will receive an email with a permit attached, and a ZIP file link to download your approved supporting documentation. The link will be available for 90 days.
