Charleswood Library temporarily closed

Released: March 22, 2016 at 2:14 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB - The Charleswood Library is temporarily closed as a result of strong fumes from a nearby construction site. As a precaution, the Library is closed today and is expected to reopen on Thursday, March 24 at 10:00 a.m.

The library’s book return remains open for returns of library material.

The contractor working on a site next door to the Library had been using a chemical to seal the concrete floor. The City is working with the contractor and the landlord to ensure that proper ventilation is used at the site going forward.
