Released: October 9, 2018 at 8 a.m.

As reported yesterday, at 6:40 a.m. on October 8, 2018, WFPS responded to an explosion and fire in the 0-100 block of Paramount Road. While the fire was officially declared under control at 10:26 a.m. yesterday morning, crews remained on scene fighting hot spots for the remainder of the day. A demolition crew was called in to assist with the take down of the remaining roof on the structure so that crews had access to the remaining hot spots. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and no damage estimates are available at this time.
