Pritchard Avenue Fire
Winnipeg, MB – At 3:37 p.m. on November 4, 2018, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded a fire in a one and a half-storey structure in the 600 block of Pritchard Avenue. Upon arrival, an offensive attack was launched and the fire was extinguished.
Initial reports indicated that occupants may be trapped in the building, but all occupants had self-evacuated prior to crews’ arrival. No injuries were reported. The structure suffered significant fire and water damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are available at this time.
Talbot Avenue Fire
At 5:52 p.m. on November 4, 2018, WFPS crews responded to reports of smoke in a two and a half-storey multi-family dwelling in the 500 block of Talbot Avenue. Upon arrival, crews discovered a working fire within the walls of the structure. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was quickly extinguished.
All occupants had self-evacuated prior to crews’ arrival. No injuries were reported. Following ventilation of the building, most residents were able to return to their suites.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are available at this time.
