Spray pads remaining open until September 8

Released: August 28, 2024 at 10:44 a.m.

Winnipeg, MB – The City of Winnipeg is extending the spray pad season until September 8, 2024, offering families extra time to beat the heat with some outdoor fun. Spray pads were originally scheduled to close on September 3.

Most spray pads will remain open daily from 9:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. until September 8. Boyd Park and Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre spray pads will close on September 3.

“We know how much families love our spray pads, especially during those last warm days of summer,” said Vivian Santos, Chairperson of the Standing Policy Committee on Community Services. “Extending the spray pad season until September 8 gives everyone a bit more time to cool off and enjoy these popular outdoor spaces. It’s all about making the most of our beautiful Winnipeg summers and ensuring our community has access to fun and refreshing options.”
